Katarzyna Andrejuk

Katarzyna Andrejuk - sociologist and lawyer, holds a PhD degree in sociology from the University of Warsaw. Her PhD dissertation was about educational migration from Poland to the UK after 2004. She is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences. After obtaining her PhD, she participated in research projects about migrant welfare and social structure, she was also a principal investigator of a project about migrant self-employment in Poland. Her recent publications include articles in Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (Self-employed migrants from EU Member States in Poland: differentiated professional trajectories and explanations of entrepreneurial success) and in Asian and Pacific Migration Journal ( Vietnamese in Poland: How does ethnicity affect immigrant entrepreneurship?). Her research stay at the MPC is funded by the Uwertura scholarship of the National Science Centre in Poland. Research topics: migrants on the labour market, migrant self-employment, immigration and integration policies, repatriation regimes, European Union and processes of Europeanisation.
