The Global Mobilities Project (GMP)
 
The MPC started a research project on Global Mobilities that includes the set-up of a comprehensive database covering several dimensions of human mobility. The kick-off workshop of the project was held on 26 February.

Creating a Central Migration Hub
 
The MPC is part of the CROSS-MIGRATION project (@CrossMigration), which aims at consolidating past, present and future migration research. The kick-off took place in Rotterdam on 8-9 March 2018 and the MPC will host the opening conference on 31 May-1 June 2018.

Looking into the Role of European Mobility and its Impacts in Narratives, Debates and EU Reforms
 
The MPC is now a partner of the REMINDER project on understanding free movement in Europe. The project combines expertise from a wide range of different disciplines (including economics, politics, linguistics, media studies, and public policy) to generate a deeper understanding of the determinants, effects, public debates and regulation of intra-EU mobility.
